When passing an obstruction on the left hand side of the road, which mirrors should you check?

Before passing an obstruction on the left hand side of the road, you should check your rear view mirror and right mirror. You need to check them early in case someone behind is overtaking you. You need to check them because you’ll be moving out in the road to pass an obstruction and you need to know if it’s safe to do so.

Warning – Failure to check your mirrors could result in you missing a vehicle that’s overtaking you. This could be dangerous and lead to you failing your test.
